GrainXchange for the Buyer
The buyer can access the registration through the EPIC home page. Registration is $260 +GST per year.
The benefits of buyer registration include:
1. Emailed daily tonnes for each commodity, the lowest, highest and average target prices and details of the three lowest priced parcels listed for each grade.
2. Opportunity to revise bids if it is the same as another buyer.
5. A listing in our companies we service section, where buyers can provide information such as company profile, payment terms, advisory licences etc and any other information that will establish grower confidence.
EPIC will still contract with buyers that are not registered but the buyer will not receive any of the benefits listed above.
How the GrainXchange works
1. Buyers can view grain stored in warehouse or on-farm and also tonnage listed for forward cash contracts and any associated information as provided by the grower/seller. For example: Commodity, grade (multi or fixed for forward contracts)/quality, location, treatment info (if available) and target price (if provided). (Target prices are indicative only not a firm sell price.)
2. Buyers simply click the enquire button located on the right hand side of the lot of interest and an email alert is sent instantly to the EPIC office, we will then contact you to confirm your offer.
3. If the grower chooses to accept the buyers offer then EPIC will complete a broker confirmation containing all details required by both Buyer and seller and email a copy to both parties.
4. EPIC also monitors the grower/seller target prices daily, if the best daily bid meets a target price the buyer will be contacted to confirm the bid is still holding and they still wish to buy, grower/seller is then contacted and on acceptance EPIC will complete a broker confirmation as above.
On farm storage will be facility and quality rated. The quality matrix is available after log in.
Ratings will cover the commodity, variety, quality, type of storage, hygiene, access, handling facilities and treatment dates.
In the event that large tonnages are required to be accumulated for a specific market, EPIC is in a position to handle all facilitation processes required.
