The buyer can access the registration form through the home page. EPIC will activate the buyer's registration on receipt of the application and the buyer will receive a user name and password.

There is no cost associated with buyer registration - buyers only pay if they utilise the service such as acquiring grain.

On registration a link in companies we service can identify characteristics about your company. This can include payment terms, insurance indemnities, advisory licences if applicable and any other information that will establish grower confidence in dealing with your company.

Buyers will provide their best price each day for each major commodity they are in the market to buy. This information will be provided by SMS and/or email to growers registered. Buyer names are not published with pricing bids as EPIC considers this creates a more level playing field for buyers. Growers will have to contact EPIC if they want a trade match to the buyer with the best price.

Buyers can view grain stored in warehouse or on-farm and any associated information as provided by the grower/seller. For example: Grade, quality, treatment information (if available).

On farm storage will be facility and quality rated. Criteria for ratings will be available from a drop down list.

Ratings will cover quality of grain, the type and variety, type of storage, hygiene, access, handling facilities and treatment dates and applications.

Grower target prices may be listed (though these are neither compulsory nor binding) for each different grain type and transaction type. Transaction types may include: forward contracts, cash with 30 day payment terms or deferred cash contract. No grower names will be accessible.

When a buyer wants to trade, contact is made with EPIC to accept the offer on condition that the seller agrees to accept the buyers bid. This may be a small parcel or multiple sellers in which case the buyer can bid on a number of target prices.

Cell averages will be available for all sites that are not export select.

On acceptance by the seller, a trade match is forwarded providing the buyer with details pertaining to the potential sale. The buyer can then execute a purchase contract direct with the seller.

In the event that large tonnages are required to be accumulated for a specific market, EPIC will be in a position to facilitate that process.
